Electric wire spraying

Typical Spray Coats

  • Ni-/Fe base alloys/stainless steel
  • Molybdenum/aluminium
  • Copper and copper alloys
  • Zinc, tin, etc.
  • Material shape: wire
  • Electrical conductive wire (also filled)
  • Heat is produced by an electric arc discharge between two wires.
  • Accelerator gas : compressed air or nitrogen
  • Flame temperature: 4,000 °C (arc)
  • Particle speed: 100-150 m/s

Applications

  • Wear resistance
  • Friction/grip low
  • Corrosion resistance (sealed)
  • Repair, restore dimensions

Plasma spraying

Applications: wear resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, electrical insulation.
